Are There Russian Operatives connected to the Trump Administration?
After Herr Trump’s press conference on February 16, 2017, I was left with several questions. The press conference’s initial purpose was to introduce the replacement for the recently withdrawn Secretary of Labor Andrew Puzder. Mr. Puzder was being replaced with Alexander Acosto. Mr. Puzder was having trouble getting enough Republican Support to obtain the required number of votes for confirmation. Herr Trump opened with his announcement and immediately went back on the campaign trial feeding his base with the vile messaging they so desired. 1.) “I inherited a mass”, – “blame Obama card”.
2.) “I pick up the paper and watch the news and what do I see, Trump’s White House is in chaos”, – “blame the media card”
3.) “In fact, we had to go quicker than we thought because of the bad decision we received from a circuit court”, ‘I think the circuit is in chaos and that the circuit court is frankly in turmoil”, – “blame the Judicial branch of our democracy”. Further he stated: “the White is running like a fine turned machine”. Denying major media reports of White House chaos and placing blame on everyone but himself. Serving his 38% right wing base, a grand helping of alternative facts. I could go on and on with examples of his alternative facts and whining however, I’m sure most of you witnessed the entire press conference fiasco.
There were many questions posed to Herr Trump however, I will only address ones I find poses additional concerns. When question by a CNN White House reporter on the resignation of General Michael T. Flynn. Herr Trump eluded that he asked him to resign because he lied to Vice-President Pence about his conversation with the Russian Ambassador Sergey I. Kislyak. When pressed further, he stated General Flynn did nothing wrong by talking with the Russian Ambassador. Question: If General Flynn did nothing wrong in talking with the Russian Ambassador why did he feel he had to lie about the conversation to Vice President Pence?
It’s reported that the following men formally or presently within the Trump champagne or administration have had connection with the Russians. Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Carter Page, Rex Tillerson, and Michael Flynn. Paul Manafort served as Herr Trump’s campaign manager replacing Corey Lewandowski however; he only serves for two month resigning after being connected to the Ukraine as a political adviser. He supported the Ukraine President Viktor Yankovych reported to have close tries to Russian President Vladimir Puttin. New York Times reported in an article January 19, 2017 titled: Trump Ally Roger Stone Under Investigation for Possible Russia Ties. Further, it was reported communications had been intercepted between longtime Donald Trump ally Roger Stone and Russian officials. Media Matters exposed Mr. Stone in August 2016 after claims he was in contact with Julian Assange (wiki-leaks) regarding an “October Surprise”. January 20, 2017, the New York Times reported intelligence agencies are investigating “intercepted communications and financial transactions between Russian officials and Trump allies Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and Carter Page.
The above post was written in February 20l7 that I didn’t post however, I find it very interesting now with the progression of today’s Russia concerns.
